Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, case number, or other term entered into a sponsored search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates it. That company processes the input and supplies its results. We do not retain or log those search terms on our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send us a message, we may retain it long enough to respond and maintain the related communication. We do not disclose it outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Standard technical records may be created when a visitor opens the website. They can include:
- The device's internet protocol address
- Browser name, version, and operating system
- Device category
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent
- The referring website, when supplied
- Date and time information for page requests
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. We may use them with analytics services to understand aggregate traffic, page use, and technical performance. Browser controls can reject or remove cookies, although some functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
Visitor and technical data may support these operational needs:
- Operating and improving page speed and availability
- Sending a sponsored search request to the provider chosen by the visitor
- Measuring which resources are useful
- Finding and correcting technical faults
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Fond du Lac County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of official dockets or personal case records. It publishes reference information about WCCA, the Wisconsin Circuit Court, Fond du Lac County, Michelle Weber's Clerk of Courts office, and municipal record routes. Wisconsin Public Records Law, including Wis. Stat. §19.35 and §19.36, governs public inspection and applicable limits at government record authorities. Wis. Stat. §801.18 addresses electronic court records and access to public portions. Those laws do not turn this private website into a court record custodian.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power sponsored search tools. Their privacy terms, retention periods, prices, and sharing practices apply to information entered into their services. We do not set those policies. Review the provider's policy before submitting personal details or payment information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to WCCA, the Fond du Lac County Clerk of Courts, Wisconsin court pages, legal resources, and outside search services. Once a visitor follows such a link, the destination's privacy rules control. We are not responsible for its data handling or availability.
Advertising providers may use their own technologies to measure activity across websites. Any such collection occurs through their systems and is governed by their notices.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be available to:
- A search provider that processes a query submitted through its tool
- Analytics vendors that measure site traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that deliver advertisements
- Government or law-enforcement authorities responding to a valid legal requirement
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information under our control. No internet service can promise absolute security, uninterrupted service, or prevention of every unauthorized event. Visitors should avoid submitting sensitive court, financial, or identity data unless the destination clearly requires it and identifies how it will be handled.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 18. If we learn that such information was submitted, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Your Data Rights
Rights concerning private website data vary by residence and applicable law. Wisconsin Public Records Law concerns access to records held by public authorities; it does not create a general consumer-data right against this private resource. Subject to the law that applies, a person may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal data held about that person
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of eligible data
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
